About

Meet Colleen

My name is Colleen Richardson. Some people call me Angel.

I’m a former CPA, and I do CFO-level business advisory. I help established owners to achieve success, whatever that looks like to them, by bringing clarity, structure, and strategy to their financial business decisions.

“I started Angel’s because I kept meeting owners who had solid business plans and incredible drive, but still felt unsure. They had the reports. They had the revenue.”

What they didn’t have was someone to help them interpret their numbers and decide what to do next. That’s the work I love: empowering business owners to make confident decisions about the future.

Professional background

My background spans more than 20 years of financial reporting and analysis across retail, startups, SaaS, nonprofits, and government. Public and private companies ranged from $1MM to $14BN.

That range taught me how to step into very different businesses and help leadership teams make sense of complex financial environments.

How I work

I work as a partner to you, not a replacement for your bookkeeper or accountant. I focus on interpretation and strategy, not on producing more spreadsheets for you to get overwhelmed by.

The goal never changes: help you understand what your numbers mean and use them to move forward.

A few things that matter to me

  • Clarity over complexity

The financial picture should feel accessible, not intimidating.

  • Relationship over transaction

I take a small number of clients so I can show up fully for each one.

  • Steady, not loud

Calm, grounded guidance, never hype or pressure.

  • Inclusion by default

I’m proud to work with women-owned, queer-owned, and allied businesses.

  • Precision with warmth

Rigorous with the numbers, human in the room.

Thinking about working together?

The easiest first step is a conversation. Let’s grab a coffee - in person or virtually - and talk it through.
